OK bear with me on this one,

Today I have been fucking around with my brakes with no joy! as when I apply them they will not release. This is more so at the back. When I spin ANY wheel there is very bad resistance. Now the rear disc setup has never really worked to good anyway.

It is set up like such

front brakes------- F/R tee ------- 0.70 master cylinder
|
|-----Bulk head fitting---- Brake Bias----Line lock-------Tee L/R---Kad discs.

also I am using silicone brake fluid.

Now I am thinking it could be 1 of 3 things-

1 The silicone brake fluid as when I was at slarks he said he had seen something like this before with this stuff. And said that there rear was that bad I should go back to drums!

2. The Master cylinder is not doing its job.

3. there is Two much shit in the system.

As it stands this is stopping me getting out in the car.

Check the pushrod into the master cylinder isnt binding, I had a hell of a job diagnosing the same symptoms years ago with my AP Racing master cylinders (cant remember what you have). I ended up making my own pushrods, iirc Nic Rizz had the same problem and fitted a spacer under his cynders

I seriously doubt it!

whats the bias valve?

I bough a flash one fitted it and after pressing it down hard if failed leaving the rear brakes locked on solid (fortunatly on the drive!)... binned it and fitted a converted mini one.

also I seem to remember early rear Kad discs can do somthing funky where the hand brake can go over centre if theres too much slack and stick on.

I sold my Kad rear discs because they were sticky and would bind.

Its just to stop the back wheels locking up lol. Yes they are an early set if i don't think i have ever had them working right, come to think of it.

Look at the AP Racing site for all the reasons NOT to use silicone fluid! Among other things it can swell the seals which can prevent the piston from returning. Ask me how I know :( Change all the seals and use proper brake fluid

I cant find the info you are chatting about mate.

I think I am going to swap the Fluid first and see how I get on, What would I use to flush it all out? Regular brake fluid ,Methylated spirits ?

Just get loads of dot4 and flush id have thought. It's good enough to strip paint so it should be good enough to flush the system through haha.
Like I said, 11 quid for 5l from Halfords. Normally 17.99? . If you need a trade card number pm me bud :)

Not familiar with silicone brake fluid and effect on seals. But I think I would loosen the T for rear brakes and see if that improves things (at the rear). If it doesn't look at the brakes, if it does improve things continue looking at thing towards the front.

Dazed and Confused....
