Hi,

At the point of buying some new wheels......

it's gonna be 10 inch...but how wide???

I have tubbed the rear arches ; so do the wheels have to be 7 wide or would 6 be ok also?
( i have a kad rear anti rollbar)

And what arches would be needed for running 6 , and what running 7 ??? ( is there even a nice wheelarch that can cover a 6j wheel with tubbed arches? ( radius wise))

thanks

the missus runs 10x6 minilites from moss

(no idea what group they are im afraid!)

mine are 10x6 with slightly trimmed miglia arches
my rears are tubbed and the mini sits quite low

i like miglia arches i would have them over 7's and 6's :)

in the past i have had group5s to cover 13x6
and sports packs to cover 13x7s

All depends on the offset, buy wheels first then arches imho, then you don't have to buy either of them twice. Or ask for measurements on your proposed wheel from your chosen vendor. My 10x6 revolites stick out a mile because of the offset!

thing is...i can get hold of some MB's wich are 6 wide.....
But since the arches are tubbed i don't know if they are wide enough to fill up the wheel arch and i have to get some 7j rims.

the MB rims have a 3" inner and 3" outer dish

Measure 3" from the mounting face of the drum brake plus probably 20-30mm for the width of wheel centre and you should have some idea of how it sits. Carl at force could supply you with bigger outer lips perhaps?

Tubbing the arches should only affect how low you go, not how wide a wheel you have/need. Having said that, it will affect which arches you can use

Sorry, but how does tubbing affect the width of arches needed to cover your wheels?

You can't use standard plastic arches because they won't fit, that sorta thing bud.

We are talking 6 or 7 inches wide, so the standard arches are not an option.

"But since the arches are tubbed i don't know if they are wide enough to fill up the wheel arch"

The above is what I'm referencing.

leeds/wakefield.

The MB wheels have the rim joint offset neg by 13-14mm ,

so if you have a 3" outer rim on there the ouer lip of the spinninig ahould be sitting about 95mm from the hub mount face , so a standard mig arch should work OK, if not it can be trimmed back,

165's as Brett says are quite bulgy, so they'll be fine on 7" width.

Edit: This is how my falkens sit..

Mine was horrible to drive with a032's stretched on my 10x7's I loved how it looked but it torque steered all over the place and my na motor doesn't exactly produce much in the way of torque lol I changed to 10x5.5 and it transformed the handeling
