So my inlet manifold ports leak air between gasket and cylinder head, both the mating surfaces are flat and have tried using perforated and paper gaskets.

Would anyone reccomend trying 2 gaskets?

Cheers. Mike

Low boosting for now.

Have you used the MPI or Turbo gasket ? If both surfaces are flat you should have no issues sealing. Have you retorqued the nuts after a few miles when the engine's been hot ?

Phil.

Are you using the metro turbo inlet and exhaust manifolds?

Or do you have a non-turbo inlet, or mirage (or similar)exhaust?

Is the carb clearing the body and the top of the turbo?

I didnt know there was a particular turbo gasket?
Its standard metty turbo inlet manifold and exhaust manifold, everything clears fine, if i can get this to seal properly, hopfully it will solve my massive hesitation when coming on boost, beginning to give up now to be honest, ive tried everything and no joy. :( really getting me down if im honest

Low boosting for now.

Are the exhaust manifold flanges and the inlet manifold flanges exactly the same thickness where the clamping washers (the very large washers) sit ?

A while ago I bought a genuine turbo inlet manifold (I only wanted it to cut the flanges off for my injection manifold to save me machining them myself) and the flanges were considerably thinner than the standard turbo exhaust flanges - it looked as if the inlet's sealing face had been skimmed - so it would never have sealed as the washers would only have clamped the exhaust manifold.

Stepped washers is the way to go if that is the problem - used by more than one on TM.
