Oh eye. Must have been refreshed at some point with a water cooled body. Only a good thing.

Compressor housing is Metro.

I have played around with t3s. my money would be on it being a standard item with a water cooled bearing journal as per the series 2 rs turbos.

the compressor cover is definitely a standard metro item. the compressor wheel is likely to be a standard trim 40 metro item. unless the compressor cover has been machined to take a larger trim wheel. which is unlikely as it would be easier to fit a larger compressor wheel spec cover from another t3 turbo. as far as im aware all of the t3 turbine wheels are the same? it might have a larger a/r exhaust turbine housing. to tell you look on the 'rusty 'side of the turbo, it will be cast into this somewhere - probably either .25 or .36. .25 is standard metro, .36 is the one to have if you want to make good power.

the red thing that says avonbar racing in an uprated actuator which can help give you more boost pressure if setup correctly

I replaced the journal body with a water cooled one on my T3 turbo. (After market). Alan

I seem to remember the chap who built the car originally used to be in here and other forums. Pretty sure it's just a rebuilt standard T3 with a water cooled core.

I've had a search round and I think his user name was leetre

That exhaust turbine housing looks physically small, like the standard .25 metty one. I had both standard oil cooled and water cooled bearing housings to chose from on mine, i went for the standard oil cooled one in the end as space is restricted enough as it is without the water plumbing

If the plumbing is done with banjo unions it takes no extra room where it matters.
