Thinking about purchasing a heavy duty clutch arm as i have an AP racing clutch plate and grey diaphragm. Can the arm be replaced without taking the clutch cover off and having the clutch apart? Im looking at buying the MED kit if this makes any difference?

Yeah it's not too bad. Just remove the split pin from the clutch arm clevis pin, withdraw the clevis pin and the arm just pulls out. :)

Oh ok that seems easy. The MED one comes with tWo large nuts, a "plunger" and what looks like a bearing of some sort?

That's the full kit with the bits that go through the WOK. If your clutch is working, but you just want a new arm then just buy the option that gives you just the arm.

To fit a heavy duty clutch arm kit the clutch cover will need to be removed to fit the different plunger type as the arm wont fit a standard plunger.
Genuine clutch arms seem to last well with a grey diaphragm in my experience.
