ERA rebuild
OK So now I am near the end of the cars restoration. It has been a long process but I have got there.
I know very little about Mini Turbos. Most of my knowledge so far has been gained by trial and error and the information from the Internet. Especially the information on this site. Thanks for that.

To recap

ERA restoration
plus 20 15cc dish Omega pistons
Avonbar phase 2 cam
Med FIS head
C.R. 8.5 to1
1.3to1 roller rockers
Standard SU turbo carb
Standard T3 turbo
BDD needle Standard spring
8psi actuator
Aldon Amethyst
No inter-cooler
(Would be looking to run 10 to 12 psi boost eventually up to 8 running in)
This is obviously not the original ERA set up.
I have got the Aldon Amethyst programmable ignition and I have been playing with it over the last couple of days

The values I have put into the system are
Rpm advance deg
500 2
1000 3
1500 5
2000 11
2500 14
3000 13
3500 15
4000 15
4500 16
5000 18
5500 20
6000 24
6500 24

Aldon call the initial advance the offset which I have set at 5deg

Boost reduction
I have put in at
Bar deg
-.5 0
-.25 0
0.0 0
.25 -3
.5 -7
.75 -9
1.0 -11
1.25 -19

At tick over (750rpm) it is running at 14.5.1 Air fuel
As the revs build it reads about 12.0.1. That’s sat in the garage of course
This could be a load of b******$
So bearing in mind this is to get it to its MOT hopefully without incident. Am I in the right area?

Any constructive comments please.

I'd put a bit more advance in the high rpm range. At the moment at 4500 rpm, and full boost you'll have around 6 degrees ignition advance.

There is 5 degrees initial advance to add to all the advance figures. That is how this Aldon system is set up. I could adjust the initial advance up or down. That would alter it the same across the range of course or adjust the individual advance settings. I suppose I could set the initial advance at 0 and put all the advance at each rev setting.

I made a spreadsheet that used the inputs to make a 'map' in the more classic sense.

Made it easier to see what advance you got without having to do a sum each time.

Took about 10 seconds to knock up.

I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry.
