After running a lash up turbo setup for a while and gathering much knowledge whilst enjoying turbo'd A series I feel a time has come to slowly build a PROPER engine much better suited to the requirements, as and when my funds allow me.

What I am faced with now, is I have acquired a block bored to 73.5mm (1380 I believe)

What id like to know, is this suitable for turbo use? Obviously I want to take my time and do it correct.

Only reason I ask is that I thought being such big bore, could be more prone to damage?

Just saves me buying ANOTHER block and getting in mums way *tongue*.

Ta very much.

Low boosting for now.

Well you need to get the bores measured to see if they are still round and straight if not you can always get it linered back down to any size you want...

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Roger wilco. But will a 1380 turbo be reliable? Thats my main concern.

Low boosting for now.

I always have my engines machined to the actual pistons that im using. A lot of places will be reluctant to bore and finish a block without the actual pistons to be used to hand. I run a 1380 turbo, its been reliable so far but not got too many miles on it yet. You may struggle to get the compression ratio down with the current off the shelf 1380 pistons available...

Use the search function before buying stuff from me...

stoke on trent

No reason why any engine size would be unreliable if its set up correct, comp ratios fueling ignition etc etc

I use 73.5 18cc accralites. I dont think that either these or omega ones are kept on the shelf, but manufactured in batches. Best to speaK to omega direct...

I see omega 73.5 cast are only 11cc's from MED at the moment, i think 11cc will be alright if i chamber the head out enough.
Im not gonna be massively boosting...

He says. Lol cheers for the info

Low boosting for now.
