I need to change the clutch, and wanted some opinions on what to use. |

think most of us are using pre-verto. What spring are you using?

The stock 'turbo' verto clutch should be good for 25lb ft or so over stock... Try fitting the AP race/rally plate and see what it's like. Otherwise, it's a grey all the way! On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

Where is the best place to get a standard verto turbo clutch my local place only do exchange units. |

is there any reason why you cant swap from a verto clutch to a pre verto clutch?? |

Made the descision brought a grey and race rally plate, and all the bits to do the conversion so will be ready for avon |

Brought it local from mini mine, i think it was about £40, i brought it with a load of other stuff so can't remember exact. |

what else is needed apart from tthe plate and cover?? i have a flywheel and back plate. Do i need any more of the flat shims other than the ones on a standard pre verto clutch??

Just wondering if a tuned 1293 T" turbo set up would be enough for a grey/orange verto setup or am i looking at a paddle clutch assembly? suppose it depends on the boost? 1310 - Supercharged 16v Twin Cam - 190BHP - SC Built.
