Anyone think a good grade, either 6000 or 7000 aluminium would be ok to make these from?
I seriously doubt it! |

do you mean top hat spacers Dave@, the type than reduces a 1/2" rod end to accept a 10mm bolt |

No, just one 1/2" id spacer each side of the rod end. Theyll be 5mm thick and 22mm od tapering down to 15mm I seriously doubt it! |

well you should be using reducing top hat spacers so you can use the lighter 10mm bolt in stead of the 1/2" I suspect you are using,
