Ello,
You can kick me off if you want to cos I dont actualy have a mini, what I do own is a 1988 MG Metro Turbo.

I've had it 9years but for the last 18months its being overhauled down to the last nut an bolt.

Its pretty standard at the mo, with just a cone filter an a ss exhaust, but I have plans for a few tweeks an upgrades to boost power and handling.

I'm hoping to pick up a few tips an idea's from the TM forum :)

Noz.

Welcome. We don't discriminate against metro's here.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Like rocking horse shit unfortunately especially the turbo wings. Scour ebay, metro owners club, metro power and call local auto panels places. You never know they may have some stuff on the shelf. I got a load of mini stuff from a local place for next to nothing as it had been sat in storage for years.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

looking good :)
what i'd do if the panels are that difficult to find & can bolt on and off
is make fibreglass/carbon fibre moulds and stick those on instead!

Welcome, as far as I know, the only difference between standard metro wings and the turbo ones is the arch cut back and the mounting holes for the bodykit. I don't remember too well how I did it now, but I'm sure it's self explanatory.

Just chop the lip off and drill some holes. That's all we did on the metro van's wings.

The wings, like you all say, i'll use std ones an make a few adjustments. The other panels such as front panel, crossmember an light panels will be difficult to find. The rest I can use rover 100 panels
