I've just bought a new carb spacer (between carb and inlet) as I lost the original during rebuild. The one I've just bought was a standard spacer for HIF44. I have since looked at pictures on this site and noticed that there looks like a small take off on the carb spacer for the turbo carb. Is this correct, are they different?? Do I need the turbo variant and what is the take off for??

Cheers Rich

The turbo on is a bit thinner and of a more heat resistant material

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

the take-off is on the carb IIRC, il go look in a minute but im sure it is.

its thinner but its only a spacer so the throttle linkage clears. im sure the material wont be anything that special if at all id have thought anyway.

just see what it looks like together and that everything lines up, not so much of an issue if you have an intercooler, but bulkhead clearance may be tighter
