I need to convert my my car to run on interia type starter as the engine I have bought has this type of starter. I have the starter fitted to the engine but I need to know which solenoid to purchase and how to fit it into my originally Pre engaged car. Minispares sell either a 3 or 4 terminal solenoid but I rang them today and the guy wasn't overly helpful. Not his fault really as I probably didn't explain myself very well :/

Anyway, how does one do this? I will be using either mega jolt or omex so no coil being used.

in short without going in to detai ring minispares north and ask for richard explain to him in 30 seconds it will be on its way to you

Just buy either. The main battery terminal and power wires go one side, the starter lead the other, and the large spade goes to a smaller one in the centre and so does the old 12v cranking feed for the coil if it's there. If you have a steel roundnose bolt it to the slam panel brace, or the middle of the subframe itself, so you don't have to reroute loads of wiring.

Just change the flywheel and leave the starter. The inertia starters are shit anyway.
