PALM BAY FLORIDA U S A

HELLO ALL, IM NEW TO THE TURBO MINI AND I WAS WONDERING ABOUT PARTS . I RECENTLY BOUGHT A J SPEC ERA TURBO MINI, AND I WOULD LIKE TO BUILD IT UP TO ABOUT 150 BHP OR SO RELIABLE BHP. SO FAR IT SEEMS LIKE A TURBO PHILL CYL HEAD IS ON THE LINE UP. I WAS ALSO READING THAT THE STOCK CRANK N RODS CAN BE MADE LIGHTER N STRONGER TO HOLD UP ? THE ERA MINI HAS A 3.20 FINAL I WAS THINKING ABOUT GOING TO A 2.90 TO KEEP THE REVS DOWN. PLZ ADVISE. N ALSO THESE J SPEC CARS COME WITH AIRCONDITION FITTED. I LIVE IN FLORIDA USA N DEF WILL B KEEPING THE AC. DOES ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY INTERCOOLER THAT MAY WORK WITH THIS CAR. PLZ HELP AM ALL EARS. THX YOU

Please turn off your CAPS lock, there's no need to shout...

An ERA engine bay without aircon is already clutttered, including pump, rad & condensor you'd be hard pressed to fit a packet of cigarettes under your bonnet let alone a useful intercooler. Being an ERA I guess cutting up bodywork to make room is out of the question, therefore I'd put my money on a well breathing engine fitted with water injection, mappable ignition and J&S knock control.

Since you are in the US a 25HP shot of nitrous might be an easy way to liven things up a bit?

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

You may get away with something small in front of the rocker cover with some ducting from the grille area.

That's giving me a headache I can't see it happening without messing around the original layout. Mounted under the wing perhaps?

There isnt anywhere to put it in a Jap Spec ERA, even the horn had to be moved out of the engine bay, and is mounted on the front subframe....
