Hi peeps
I have checked the forum to see if this issue has already been answered but to no avail.
The problem I have is that I can not adjust my kad internal gear linkage so that I can select all gears.
I have tried removing the gear lever out of the selector and making sure the yolk is in the centre. Then Reattaching the gear lever. Put the lever where 3rd gear should be and adjust until 3rd selects with out problems. However once adjusted to get 3rd I can't seem to select any other gears??
Has anyone else experienced this type of problem??
Is there an idiots guide to installing the internal gear linkage??
Ps. I have contacted kad themselves and they suggested what I have already tried

Any help would be great as I am at my wits end :(

Thanks

I had to cut my linkage. About an inch off the threads on one end as my engine must have been leaning slightly not allowing the full movement on the rod. Once cut it worked fine. Try pulling the selector from the back of the gearbox first and seeing the max and min lengths you need to achieve.

Thanks I will try this tonight.
So remove the selector from the brackets inside the car and see what the max and minimum length of the selector rod I need then cut to suit.

The engine site slightly more forward in injection subframes. Do you which type you have?

put the gearbox in a gear, . then put the stick in that gear position, join rods together, try gears,

have you been trying to do it with box in neutral?

Problem solved. It turned to be the service plate under the remote was put on the wrong way around resulting in the lever not moving into gear. Getting the selector adjusted was still a pain in the bum but at least I can select all the gears now!
Thanks for everyone's help :)
