Hi, I've got a 12g295 head, but it's been skimmed to 25cc... Will this be ok to use in a turbo project on a 998 engine? |

It depends what compression ratio you're trying to achieve. If there is enough volume in the chambers at 25cc to give you what you want, then yes.

Would I be better off getting my standard head modded? or a 12g202? |

The 295 flows better than both those heads in standard form. The 202 can be made to work well but requires considerable work.

Basically I want a daily driver that goes like stink... I dunno if this is a stupid question, but if I had the 12g295 ported, would that lower the comp. ratio? |

Porting the head has no effect on the compression ratio. Do you have the big yellow book "Tuning the A-Series engine" ? There's a good section on there explaining how to calculate the compression ratio.

lol didn't know really... but the line of thinking was that there would be less metal on the cylinder head, and more space... It was a long shot lol |

Porting is done to the ports. To reduce the CR material needs to be removed from the chambers.

25cc will be fine as long as you use 6cc dished pistons. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |
