I want to retain the original engine from my car and its a 998. I will be rebuilding it over the winter, With a turbo and want some big power. I have discussed maybe doing a compound turbo setup, but no idea what 2 turbos to use for that. The engine as far as i can tell has only just been bored .040. with new valves. i was originaly thinking 5psi but now, I got hungry and want to try and get to 150HP with some reliability. so long story short, how do i get this. and what will i need parts wise!

I guess what would be the needed things as far as Engine Mods to go forward. will i need forged pistons, New clutch, reworked head? or can i just bolt on a turbo manifold, turbo, oil cooler, FP regulator and then go to town.

If you want 150bhp start with a 1275 not a 998. Yes it can be done, but it won't be a nice drive.

120bhp is about the limit for a driveable 998 with sensible boost, you'll need around 12psi.

Also once past 120bhp the gearbox becomes a limiting factor.

good to know, should you get forged pistons for 12 psi or would stock ones be good?
