Some newer piccies of my mini with the charge cooler on/ in. Some eagle eyed viewers may notice a few wires/ pipes not connected.....dont worry, the photos were taken in mid-fix.

The tricky part was trying to get the bonnet to close! I had to cut away a section of the cross member support on the bonnet.

i have a similar problem, the front of mine is made into a flip front, and i added brace bars to increase the strength when the front was open, now im finding almost all of it will have to be cut out and different brace bars added

nightmare!

I am considering having a removeable bonnet so I can do away with the bonnet support and catch........needs more thought though.

Hows the turbo conversion coming along?

yeah i would like to re-design mine to have a removeable bonnet, maybe a nice carbon one with the weave showing. the conversion is going ok, not much left to do apart from put the seats back in and front windscreen and then run the engine in.

can you feel the difference with the charge cooler now fitted?

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on which way you look at it, the charge cooler went on when the weather was turning cold, so the effect was amazing, it was like i was running another 6 lbs of boost!. It will be interesting to see how it drives in the summer months when the ambient temp is much higher.
