Hello, I am sick to death of searching the World Wide Web for a fuel filter with a 13mm Id on the in and outlets.

I want a large inline filter to pre filter my pump. The outlet on my tank is 13mm Id 16mm od

So the fuel line is 16mm bore.

Thus I need a fuel filter suitable for aforementioned hose.

Does anyone have any knowledge on making a fuel filter, I assume the mesh type ...

As I am planning on laser cutting a series of discs all with lots of little holes in. Then welding them into a tube before completely welding the filter up.

Basically I want to know the size of holes/ total area of a 150? Micron filter would pass.

Ttfn

I'd like to add I'll perform a few tests before actually using it!

Ie, how much water it passes per min

Filtering dirty fuel etc.

It's for the gravity feed to the fuel pump so under no pressure

As above, Matt Lewis Motorsport do a sytec prefilter with interchangeable ends. I have one fitted.

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Mine has changeable ends.

You can specify the size on the Sytec ones sold on eBay.
