Evening all.

Now many moons ago I had problems with the carb/ fuel pressure , In the end i got another carb and fuel pressure reg .
Now as the wiring wasn't correct i couldn't run it properly so have had to wait until now.

Right, the car fires and runs first push of the button but struggles to rev over 4k and is way too rich.

My weird problem at the moment is ive removed the unknown needle in the secondhand carb and put my modified needle in fron the old carb (same engine) but it wont start without the choke (fair enough) it was cold so a little choke needed, but guess what, when the choke was on it was pissing fuel from it !!!
Now i can understand my needle may not be suited to the new carb but it carnt be overfueling can it if it wont run without the choke !!

Im hopfully going to try get 5 tomorrow to go back to work but this is really starting to piss me off

rick

ps, yes i no a rolling road is the best place but if i have problems like this i don't want to be wasting the rr's time , i need to get it close first

Sounds like choke seals are fucked on your new carb too.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

What I couldn't understand is the old needle didn't need choke to run and idle and was running rich, yet ive swaped needles and it wouldn't run without the choke so was saying that I needed more fuel !!! but yet it pisses out. It may just be I have another knackered choke seals as john says and I haven't realised as the old needle didn't need it
