anyone shed an idea on this.

as previously posted, had sprite on the rollers and the guy got it set up low down. he said it was running lean and swapped the needle to a bdl.

then said the actuator was too strong and i needed to get a lighter spring one and a bleed valve to be able to control boost as it was having a fit. so, a metty actuator and a bleed valve fitted. all gravy.

now, it starts up on the button. it will drive absolutely perfect in every gear until around 3400rpm then it feels like the ignition dies off until the revs are reduced, then its fine, until the 3400 point. i have changed the needle for a different one as advised on here, and it made no difference. that points to ignition i think.

it does this in every gear, weather it is nailed to that point or softly driven. the rev limiters are disabled on the canems ecu also. now. i have changed the settings on the ecu around that figure from 2900rpm to 3800 rpm just to see if it is anything to do with that.

no change

so i have a mildly expensive toy that is scared to go above 3400rpm/47mph.

anyone?........................................

It sounds like fuelling to me. It's either the fuel pump not supplying enough when more is required, or the fuel pressure regulator isn't increasing the fuel pressure on boost. The symptoms sound very similar to dan on here, where he had the plenum gasket he wrong way round, which was preventing the fuel pressure regulator from getting a boost pressure signal, so it could also be that.

yeah i have checked the gasket. that's all good. pump is supplying 4psi. will check the hose to the reg again but its new hose so shouldn't be split. the 3400rpm is around the time its coming onto boost mind....
