hi, any idea wot engine this is ano its a 1275 , 12hdo9 155203 am sure thts the number a cant find any number on net with a leter after the h they all have a number mibi ive looked at it wrong cheers

i'll say it before someone else does please when you write posts dont use text speak, it takes longer to read then normal english and no one is a big fan of it, dont mean to be rude but you will get more replies if we can read what you write, people will not see the point of writing a good response if you cant write a good question.

I reckon its out of a metro 1300 HLE. can only find 12HD though, no reference to the 09 after it. Although 12HD26 is a leaded turbo lump.

i have a few engines 1275 N/A and turbo lumps

it would be appreciated if you could give me the engine numbers for LEADED heads on the metros...... If its not too much hastle

then i know what i have got without stripping them

Ben, have a look in your Metro haynes manual, there is a good list of what code equals what engine. If you haven't got it in your version of the Haynes let me know and I'll scan you a copy of the page in mine.

cheers , have any of you ever heard of an mg maestro Turbo engine in a mini , a found a link saying all u needed was the bulkhead box but cant find any more information, is it just an metro turbo engine or are they bigger it sayed the engine mounts were pritty much the same , cheers

help please

i purchase a clubman estate, with an apparent 1275.

however the engine number doesnt match with any reference given to the a series.

bearing in mind it has been painted goldwhich may suggest a rebore by manufacturer??

the number on the engine plate is

8HM1667E 139716

i have measured the bore and it suggests it is a 1275 just wonering if anyone could verify this by the new engine number
