Hopefully someone can help me. I have acquired an adjustable piston type dump valve and was wondering how to set it up. It came with a spare stonger spring and screw down rod with locknut to adjust the preload but I have absolutely no idea how I should be going about setting it up. I have a modified plenum and I know the top connection goes to the inlet manifold or anywhere downstream of the carb butterfly but that?s the end of my knowledge. Any help much appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

adjustable ???

set the pre load so as the valve is fully open when the engine is on vacume
then when theres no vacume under boost this should be shut !

its made adjustable for diffrent engine vacumes

Cheers Ben. When you say vacuum you mean at idle? Please pardon my ignorance on this but the dump valve came into my possesion too cheap to turn down.

Been having a wee think about this. Does all that mean that the dump valve is fully open when the engine is idling? If so is that in effect bypassing the air filter when on idle?
