Hi all, im a new member and currently working on a father and son mini build. We are in the process of choosing the right turbo, but the question is, what turbo do we choose? we are not necessarily looking for a turbo that kicks in early as the engine wont last long due to the constant pressure, We are mainly looking for a turbo that comes in a bit later that is still good for street use aswell as track.

We are currently looking at a t28, t25 or one of the gtx models (2860r), has anyone run these before? what rpm did it kick in? how much hp did it develop? how much pressure can the engine take?
we are potentially looking at 200-250 hp.

ps. we have just had the engine bored out to 1380.

Hmmm. Not sure about this statement...

"we are not looking for a turbo that comes in early as the engine wont last long due to the constant pressure"

But if you are looking for well over 200hp a GT2056 will suit your build. This will still spool up quickly, especially as you've gone 1380cc.

If for whatever reason, you'd prefer less boost in the mid range, go bigger.

In the 13's at last!.. Just
