maybe a daft question but are both the idler gear bearings the same size gearbox and transfercase as somerford mini has them listed as slightly different for the A+

Done now needs redoing lol

i believe there are small and big bearing sizes regarding the early and late a or a+ check your housing/drop gear

its not the a+ a- i was querying it was thee tranfer and gearbox is the same bearing used in each

Done now needs redoing lol

Yes but only if they are both a or a+ iirc the a had larger bearings? I dont think you can interchange the box / drop housings or the idler wont fit
That said though i have never used A anthing so might be wrong

Once upon a time there were only the small idler bearings. Then along came the A+ and were given the large idler bearings. If that wasn't comfusing enough, someone decided to make a larger bearing with a smaller hole.

I suspect the latter is the bearing you are getting confused with. This bearing is for use with a pre A+ idler gear in an A+casing, so it has the smaller pre A+ hole and the larger A+ outside diameter.
