Hi just spoken to someone who is building my engine and he says the standard metro turbo clutch is heavy and won't be up to the job for long and will burn out. So he said look for a updated ket with pressure plate thrust bearing the hole kit. Anyone know what one is good and anyone selling one please let me know ASAP thanks guys

what spec is your engine build? standard clutch with upgraded plate is ok for standard power, if your going for more theres the orange, gray and double gray diaphram plates or you could go rts

Done now needs redoing lol

Running about 100bhp what you think? Where can you buy kits from?

the stock metro turbo clutch will work for 100 lbs/ft . a simple upgrade would be the stock clutch cover with a ap racing rally plate .that would be ample for your power and a fair bit more probably up to 150 lbs.ft.
its not bhp numbers that clutches are quantified by ... its torque .

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

I wouldnt run a preverto on a road car again,

stick your clutch with the rally plate, if it does ever slip wory about it then as a clutch is not the hardest thing to change on a mini,

If you do ever manage to slip it make up an RTS (two standard verto springs cobbled onto one assembley) and whak that in... chances are you'll never slip that!

They are both pre verto. I'd be looking at verto clutches.

Just upgrade the friction plate. If you want to spend more cash, get a lightweight verto flywheel.
