Got a Innovate LC1 piece of shit, can't get it to work. Third time I've spent 2 days trying to get it to work. Shows 7.4 no matter what, tried everything on here and all the other forums I could find and throughly pissed off with the thing.

Now thats off my chest, I want another one (not innovate) that'll work out the box. But I want it from somewhere in this country. So if it's anything like the innovate piece of crap, I can take it round and get my money back.

Have you calibrated the sensor correctly? I found once set up correctly are really good.

I also had a lot of trouble with the LC1.

It needed calibrating every 5 secs.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Yep as it says in the manuel, it flashes 7.4 even without the sensor fitted. With the sensor fitted the LED doesn't flash.

Have emailed them on several occasions, no response. I thought the post on here had created a response, because checked my email just after posting and theres a new mail from innovate.
There telling me about the LC2, the latest and greatest.
Don't think they'll be getting anymore of my money.

i have to agree with sprocket. the vems ticks all the boxes. built in wideband controller, ignition control, lots of switchable output/inputs, efi. i really can't fault it.

Cheers, been reading up on the vems and it appears to use the same Lambda sensor LSU4, that I have with the Innovate kit. Is there any reason it wouldn't work with this ?

Cheers bud, just as a side note isn't there anyone producing anything in this country.
Or will I just not have the same problems and lack of interest from the makers that I've had with innovate ?

Not that I know of. To be honest sprocket has managed to answer all the questions I've asked and told me stuff about the vems that went straight over my head. Lol

The initial calibration of the sensor was a bit of a head scratcher, but once set I've never needed to touch it. One of the other benefits, is that if your using the vems to do ignition control, when you do some data logging it makes it really easy to see where about it the rev/load range you are running lean/rich.

Me and robert mapped my Fueling using an innovate, but robert created a table on the innovate software that matched my vems table, and after a couple of drives data logging we over laid one table onto the other and could see the mixture throughout the table and adjusted it, which worked really well!

Ay other adjustments since then, I've done through data logging on the vems alone.

Good to know, at least I'll have some use out of the worthless piece of yank junk. Mind makes a expensive sensor lol

Just the wideband for now matty, already running megajolt I built a few years ago.

You can use the same vr sensor, coil pack, and trigger wheel as the megajolt, you can also use a knock sensor on the vems, monitor all oil/water/air temps so the megajolt is completely redundant once you fit the vems. Best bet sell the megajolt and use he money to help fund the vems.*wink* it'll make data logging a whole lot easier too, as you need the spark as a reference point.

So I've got some decisions to make then, was originally thinking just the Wideband gauge. Or do I sell my Aldon 100AYP, is there a market ? and go for the full ecu.

I have a similar issue
email reply was :

The unit does not have a good calibration.

Did you do this:

A Free Air Calibration is necessary to finalize the
calibration process. Press the XD-16’s button
three times. “CAL” will begin flashing on the XD-16
display. Press the XD-16’s button one more time to confirm the
Free Air Calibration command; “CAL” will no longer flash and the
XD-16 will send the command to the LC-1

I havn't tried it yet -?

Cheers carl didn't even get as far as plugging the sensor in. As soon as it's powered comes up with 7.4 and no flashes from the led, nothing.

Oh right, plug the sensor in and go through the calibration process, it only takes 30seconds and may solve the problem.

Yep tried that as well matty, after it wouldn't work this last time. Thought fook it and plugged it in. Doesn't warm up and still got the same 7.4 with it in free air. Left it a good half hour and sensor was still cold.

In that case it will be either a faulty heater on the lambda, you could meter out on the pins of the sensor to check. Or the power supply to the lm1 is too low and it hasn't heater up in its given time and faulted out.

When I said the above I was talking about the VEMS WBO2 gauge, rather than the ECU, but as Matty says, their ECU ticks many boxes.

https://shop.vems.hu/catalog/round-wbo2-gau...29¤cy=GBP

The sensors are optional.
