Is it correct that i have a cr aroud 8.5 in my 10grb ta h? I think i read this some where.

What's a 10grb? Don't think anything A series had a CR that low from the factory.

Looks like an MG1100 engine number so probably 8.9:1 was the intended CR from factory.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Lots of pre a+ engines were 8:1 too.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Remember that many of the factory low cr pistons were low quality to match the low stress nature of the intended application.

crap fuel thats still present..
some days ill fill up the work ute and it detonates like made others its fine on the same hills/roads
pain in the ass i move the timing accordingly although ist quite noticeable when restarted hence trying to keep it on the sweet spot..

I read somewhere that it has 8,5:1 but when i calculate i get 9,6:1 and that sounds more accurate because it`s a "ta h" = high comp engine. But i will calculate again when i have pulled a part everything and measured.

Too young to remember Steve ? I remember fuel without any stars !

You had a choice between "Commercial" or "Premium". Later came Super Premium or, as it came to be known, 5 star.
