So after setting out to build my self a stage 3 mpi engine and talking ad gaining as much info as possible i was quite astonished to find with the spec i was after by the time i added the sc tb kit it was adding up. and considering with the power i was after i could achieve easily with the standard components.

So after one of them days at the office where i had to much free time i started looking into the 16v head conversion, and ordered a sc guide.

so after some thinking and a spreadsheet (at least i learnt something at uni) i realized i could do all the bottom end work myself apart from pocketing pistons, and have a good friend that will sort out any of the tig welding ive decided to go down that route over the next year or so

so ive sourced a 1275 engine, and a head kit from motorwerks aswell as the drilling template. and am trying to get as much info gathered together now.

so when it comes to the kits i have 3 options

1. sc
2. force racing
3.make it myself

though by the time i do 3 id have to source the machining out as i only could do the cad work myself so might not be as cheap as i would think

so has anyone used any of the other kits, or have any useful advice for me? :)

I don't have experience on either kit, but both look to basically do the same job, and I believe neither will present any more or any less issues than the other.

I can however guarantee that choosing which kit to spend your pennies on, will be the easiest part of this exercise. All the stuff not in the "kit" is what'll be consuming your time and money.

Ive looked at whats available and both 'kits' are very good, but Carl's is just that bit better IMO

I seriously doubt it!

I had carl do some conversion work for me last year and have to say his engineering is fantastic and I manage a department of 13 of them.
