Hi guys I currently have the standard 8.4" disk brakes with 2pot calipers, I have the change of buying a set of 7.5 kad alloy calipers at a good price but the way I understand it 7.5 and 8.4 inch drive flanges are different aren't they? I'm thinking would it be possible to just machine my 8.4" disks down to 7.5"? And just fit the calipers straight on or do the disks have a different offset?

yes it is possible to machine the discs, i am running 7.9 inch disc ( cut down 8.4s)
but no idea about the offset im afraid

in fact you may be able to buy them ready done i know the 7.9s i use are 'off the shelf'
