Avon realy, just would make a change to see a different thread title!.

Another top weekend at Avonpark, they just seem to get better everyear.We were obviously blessed with fanastic weather although a little hot for us turbo wallas!

I saw a D23 so a massive class this year, maybe 5/6 more D class entrants that other years.It was good to see many Turbominis users attending and competing.

As usual i fannied about at only just finnish my car on the Friday night and still had a fair bit of fettling to do on Saturday. Cheers to Tom Fenton,Dave,Jim and Iian for your help over the weekend.
The engine was exactly the same spec as last year, on the same ignition timing but with the added advantage of a wopping gurt Sierra Saphire 4x4 Cosworth intercooler and a front mounted rad.

I did a couple of runs on the Saturday finding a nice 13.9?? to get a few folk talking!

As usual the saturday was very boozy(ask Alex) with everyone wacking down some serious ale!...cheesy disco,show me the way to Amerillo,ABBA the works!. The only reason i went to get was the genny ran out of fuel, that was 3 am.

Sunday!....Down to business...up early after a full 3 hours kip, checked over the car,tidied the camp site, lots of bottles and half eaten burgers!.I got my first run in for 11.30 ish. The first on was a dreadfull start with BIG lag!..foot down....hhmmm...it's coming soon.....spool up....F OFF!!...14.8??. The next run was a 14.1 but my throttle stuck open which was a little scarey! The throttle cable was replace ASAP(TOM YOU ARE A STAR!!) for the next run and i lined next to out very own Jimster...WHAT A RACE!!..both blinding runs, Jim chucked in a 13.9?? and 13.495 for me...chuffed!...

I went out for another run not expecting to beat that time but worth a try...nope 13.6....

Top weekend!......lets get some trackdays done!

flannigan you git.now i've got to go and do all that work that i hoped i wouldn't have to do just to make the bloody thing quicker cause you go and do a 13.4!!
tell the wife and kids that i'll see them next year,now where's that grinder

this event does seem to get better each year, cars, racing, etc but we need to improve the totty.Where are our fhm girls or the like,no fire up lane girl gags for those who pulled

just had a PM from richspec ... he`s got vid of me burning out with flashes/arcs from behind the grill , so looked like something shorting out on the electric side of things ... would explain miss fire ...

cracking weekend, didnt run me car on sunday as was having suspension probs, couldnt keep it in a straight line at all very scarilly wobbling all over the place (car not me). im gonna sort it asap.

some very nice times and cars there, best i could do was a 16.09

didnt get to party with you lot was doing the family thing but seen most of you at some stage. cant wait till next year now

I noticed you have some serious wobble carl!! looed scarey as it was nearly at the end of the run wasnt it?! must of been going some!

yeah iain the really wobbly one at the end shit me up i rekon it was at 80 ish.
