intercooler arrived yesterday, its the same as the one off the fastest upside down skip, and will hopefully fit behind the mini grille *Clapping*

wasnt expecting it to be that big but nevermind.

the intercooler if full of OIL or 710 depending how you look at it *tongue*

what the best way to clean it out, was thinking of pouring degreaser in, shaking it up and pouring out after a while.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

internally I use thinners around a litre and shake it all around, if you do it twice it will be clean as a new.

thinners is a good call, probably cheaper than petrol too these days!

the paint reduce (thinners) works really well
i did it today on my oil cooler and related pipes i should have taken a pic of all the stuff suspended in the reducer
amazing how much was suspended in it honestly if you have ever mixed paint with metallic fleck in it thats what it looked like in the sun was almost clear/yellow tint to the thinners with shinny flecks (metal/aluminum) floating in it
mind you the engine had chewed up the box and bearings resulting in oil pump and engine bearings also being chewed up so there was/is metal shavings in the oil cooler hence trying to flush it all out before re fitting to the new build...
i will be flushing it again until i get no more junk coming out of it
