well took the hog back to the rollers yesturday and got some mixed reults realy.

only managed 136 bhp at the flywheel on 15 psi, ummmm.

the graph looks a bit like a table top mountain got 130 bhp at 3750 rpm but only gained 6 hp right upto 6000 rpm the power didnt drop of until after this point which is a good sign but how ever swtill way short of what i was expecting,

mind you it was a hot day but still not very happy.

so we carried out a leak down test and the reults were terrible.

ray said before we started we need between 12 and 14 % leak down to have a good seal.

oopppps
1 was 22 %
2 27 %
3 was 16 %
4 wait for it 46%

some thing not right here then.

so put some oil in to see if it was the rings but the results was the same which was good news so the rings was the same which ony left the head gasket or valves.

so heads came off for the 6 time. and after a quick check on number 4 ( before her in doors came home) and found the exhaust valve was even seating properly on the seat which it shown up on a quick lap with fine paste so now going to have to regrind all the valves in a gain.

but still havent decided to go back to 1.5 roller tips rockers instaed of the standrad sintered ones. the only reason i swapped back was because 1.5's kills cam shafts but some needs to be done.

heads all done a bit cutting and grinding required, put the 1.5's on and she seems run well but needs riching slighty ill feel.

well you never no mate, but the old girl is still early in it's development, (UNLIKE OTHER PEOPLES CARS WHO GO STRAIGHT IN WITH GOOD POWER!!!!!!!!!)
