Been down the garage today trying to get some bits done and moved the mini around under its own power 1st time since the engine has been put back in.

Before the restoration the engine never seemed to smoke but today it seems to be chucking a bit out when you rev it

i re-seated the valves and put new stem rubber in.
i checked the bores and they were all fine

also check the stem seals are still seated properly

over fueling?

Over fueling you will smell it long before you see it that bad imo
Is it turbo? What about breathers (crank case) wherw are they plumbed?, if you take the oil fil cap off does it breath heavy from there?

ive only had it running for about 5 mins
turbo is newish with no play
breathers on the timing chain side has a small k&n filter and the clutch side isnt on yet
ill will have to check the oil cap

checked the breathers and oil cap and there is a small amount of pressure from them?

pull the rocker cover and check them stem seals! i had endless nightmares with mine popping off and leaking oil down the stems!
but thanks to the wonderful Turbophil i was saved *wink*

Low boosting for now.
