Downpipe fitting issue

Just gone to fit my Maniflow 2" downpipe onto my standard T3 outlet but im struggling for room a little. The downpipe is heat wrapped but its touching the inboard pot/cv joint. I am yet to clamp it up tight yet because i wanted to check im not missing a trick first. Is this normal? Cheers.

You should be able to get a quarter inch either side of it, they are tight but it will go.

i fitted a 2" downpipe to my gt17 build and had to 'modify' it as it was also touching the cv.

i marked where it was touching, heated it up and gave it a tap.

Panic over. Removed the heat wrap and it fits. Just. Thanks anyway guys.
