Hi guys just wondering if some of the more knowledgeable people can help me a bit. I currently have an spi mini which i have begun to strip back. Im going to get rid of some of the excess parts as i want to take it back to carb or possibly turbo it. Will there be many hinderances along the way? I believe the piston rings are different but im going to eventually have the engine rebuilt before the build anyway so that shouldnt be much of a problem. I have a fairly competant auto elecy to help with the wiring loom (albeit not a mini enthusiast). Any help would be appreciated guys! Thanks in advance |

Once you pull the fuel injection stuff off just treat it as a normal 1275cc engine and do what you like with it On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

convert a few back to hif44 with no issues.
What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve

we turned an spi setup to run carb/ turbo / megajolt in about a day. not too hard, with the correct heynes diagram.
