hi can anyone help I have a classic mini turbo and its started cutting out when u pull up at a junction. if I try to start it wont start if I disconnect the fuel pump it will start and run fine in till it runs out of fuel, if I re connect the pump it will start and then do the some thing again, it runs fine on the motor way just when u stop and the car is idleing ????????????????????????????? please help*angry*

Maybe flooding?

Might be worth checking your fuel pressure ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-Pressure-Ga...90#ht_755wt_869 )/ return line condition.


Had something similar due to squished fuel lines restricting the return.

The plugs arnt wet so I ruledout flooding I will check the fuel line in the morning . Slark only set everything up for me a few weeks ago it the first time I have driven the car took it for an mot all fine then started cutting out many thanks

There was a kink in the pipe but still got the same problem when the pump is connected it cuts out ???????? Help anyone

Have you got the regulator plumbed in properly?

thanks for the reply's the regulator is all plumbed in aok runs fine with pump off soon as pump is put on when the car is running it cuts out. what do u mean by ring friction the engine has only done around 50 miles

What do u mean grow up when u say ring friction I think piston ring not float valve thanks anyway I will look tomorrow
