I cant work out which way the fan should spin, the standard electric fan on 1275 should it blow into the rad or should it suck the hot air into the wheel ache? |

Yes he's right, otherwise it would cancel out the mechanical fan and not a lot would happen and it would overheat! On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

also check out your fan shroud and related body rubber are directing air flow where it needs to go

the fan can also be fitted 2 ways, something else to check What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve

as carzilla says the mechancal blows through the rad.
