Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

If you are retaining fuel injection and a mild or standard camshaft, catalytic convertor etc....you should have no problem. If you are reverting back to a carburettor, then via engine numbers, headed letters etc etc. If you can prove the engine fitted to the car is older than the 92 CAT test rules, you will be tested as per an older engine. 9.85 @ 145mph

Not on the Mini. The Mini has vehicle specific emissions limits that vary from the normal 'cat' test. The main reason for this was that rover were still selling carburetor models right up until early 1995 alongside the Injection models. http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=462092 Edited by Sprocket on 13th Oct, 2013.
