Hi guys just wondering how you all get on with emmisions when MoTing your turbo minis. Im currently planning a turbo build with my mini which is a 96/97 spi but emmisions changed in 92/93 didnt they. What sort of solutions would i have for this problem? Thanks in advance guys!!

i think some of the guys have used a lean tune and idled the car to and from mot
perhaps find a friendly mot man?

If you are retaining fuel injection and a mild or standard camshaft, catalytic convertor etc....you should have no problem.

If you are reverting back to a carburettor, then via engine numbers, headed letters etc etc. If you can prove the engine fitted to the car is older than the 92 CAT test rules, you will be tested as per an older engine.

Not on the Mini. The Mini has vehicle specific emissions limits that vary from the normal 'cat' test. The main reason for this was that rover were still selling carburetor models right up until early 1995 alongside the Injection models.

I just tweeked my carb down a turn and it was perfect. Then put it back after the mot

13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat!
