i was thinking about setting the caster to zero ( 90 in the pic)
new tie bars are adjustable but would like to set them so the adjustment is in the middle whilst the geo is approximately correct

Yes the top trails the bottom for positive caster. Standard is around 3.5 degrees. I stick with 3.5 with the plate diff, but you could run more with an open one.

Wil, I found 4 - 5 degrees helps keep the plate diff in a straighter line

I seriously doubt it!

That a good point. I was thinking of settings for circuit use. Also, my weedy arms mean I have to go for the softer option!

Lol, I know what you mean - it does make my arms ache on a spirited drive especially with the diff set at 200lbs

I seriously doubt it!

whats the best way to measure caster?

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile
