Hey guys gonna be doing a turbo build soon enough but the question I have is would you buy a megajolt kit http://bit.ly/11kbdJQ or would you build one up collectin parts.

Has anybody got one of those kits off eBay? If so where they any good.

you just need a MAP sensor from RS and a couple of resistor's and a capacitor.
if you need the resistor's and the capacitor i already have spare's as could only by in 10's *surprised*
you also need to desolder a resistor off the TPS section of the board and thats it.

you'll also need one of these.

its R6 resister you need to remove from the TPS section to disable it.

the whole kit:

I have a few extra of the required capacitors and resistors kicking about if anyone needs them. But you will still require one of these pressure sensors:

The pressure sensor is cheaper from Farnell.....

I think they have £20 minimum for card payments but you can probably make that up with wire/ solder/ heat shrink / tools etc!

There is probably not many people who have, if you go to their website
(http://trigger-wheels.com/store/) you can build your own kit on there and leave out the bits you can get cheap elsewhere. I.e. the megajolt alone from them is only £130ish

In the garage......again!!

I bought that kit for my turbo, it does not come with the centre bolt to hold the damper on the crank, you cant use the existing one as its not long enough after fitting the trigger wheel, I bought the recommended bolt to hold it all together for £20, it is an allen key to tighten up. Mine came loose the other week even with lots of locktight on it as you cant get decent leverage.
I would suggest a machined damper.

Only just saw people have wrote back on here :/ yeah I will go on the web site later and have a look and thank you about the damper info. The only reason I was looking at it, that it is a compleate kit and not gonna have to find any bits, but if I can save a decent amount of money buying it in parts ill do it that way. Before I do a wanted thread does anybody have a megajolt kit a map version for sale :)

you have to make the looms, i made 2 at the same time.
quite simple to do once you know where your MJ / Edis4 and coil pack is going.

Ok dokie, just when I was on Twigger wheels? They said they could make looms and was not sure what was the better way to do it, just looked at some wiring diagrams so hopefully should not be to bad to do :)

the basic loom is simple to do.

edis 4 connections:
2 wires to vr sensor (screened)
3 wires to coil pack
pip/saw to mj (screened)
ignition positive
ground
rev counter signal

mj connections:
pip/saw from edis4 (screened)
ign postive
ground

think thats it, all other outputs and inputs connect to mj if you want them
