Gents,

Has anybody any experience with this camshaft for a turbo engine? It seems to be a Special Tuning item. The specs of this cam can be found on http://members.home.nl/mmarx/mini/STcamchaft.htm

I couldn't find anything about this cam on the forum.

I'm still purchasing the parts for my engine and actually I still didn't decide if I will go for 1275 or the 998 option. But this cam is for sale for a reasonable price and actually it is quite tempting to go for the 1275 option.

It's usually described as a 544, like a 286 but a bit old school.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

for the track in a hot cooking motor it would go VERY well, for the road No IMO

I seem to remember it was the old Formula Junior profile, then relegated to rally use in the ST catalogue when the 649 came out.

Probably a bit wild for a turbo (I don't see 286's being recommended) but an old Cooper S cam might work.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

Ok gents, thanks, did some research myself as well. It seems indeed a bit wild for a turbo.

Will take a look for something else tonight. If its good i will post it on this forum.

Cheers
