It was moonstone blue once but I worte it off in january whilst delivering it back.

Looks better now, and will have around 350 bhp off gas to power it along with.

The DVLA works on a points system... if you reuse enough of the original car you can quite happyily re-shell it!

I'm not entirely sure if AF is aiming the answer at Carl, but I suspect he is???

AF is correct about the points system, but I suspect if we're looking at a 1.6l upgraded to a cosworth, there isn't a problem. If we're lookign at a car with a chassis number removed / plated over / mutilated or whatever so a 1.6l shell with a 1.6l chassis number becomes a cosworth chassis number, there is a problem in theory.

However, it's clear the DVLA don't really care about this given the number of minis being rung and logbooks for sale.
Even 'knight in shining armour' hedgemonkey aka Stu from cornwall - who used to spend hours looking at images of logbooks on ebay to see if he could see reg or chassis numbers to let the DVLA know never even had a response, let alone a thanks for his actions.

So what then. Nice wheels. I like 2 door sierra cosworths (and replicas like this), sick colour, but thats all I've really got to say...

The car is A reg. when was the last time you saw an A plated sierra cosworth? (Bearing in mind they didn't exist until 4 years later???)

Chip had a moonstone blue cosworth that was Q plated stolen recovered. I crashed it (not so cleverly) bought the red A plate car and put everything from the cosworth into that body (that has been painted yellow) Its only non cosworth part is the logbook and metal in the shell, I even took the time to weld in the tilt and slide sunroof.

Its all cosworth including the motor and is 350 bhp off gas its big spec, mappable ECU etc.

Well i thought some people might like to ahve a look. Carl is just jealous becuase of that crappy rwd saphhy that kept thrashing his pure drag racing twin engined mini on the retro cars day...
