Cheers guys I think it looks much better on 10's as well. Although I haven't rolled her out the barn for a proper look yet...next sunny weekend I reckon :)

Been making a dashboard from some ply I had left over from a job...

Done a few bits and bobs over the last few weeks..

Finished the dash...

I'm pleased with it :)

Fitted my DSN peddles my sister got me for my birthday

I also fitted some mk2 rear lights to replace the clear mk3 lights! Haven't taken a pic yet though.

Nice work with the dashboard. Can you still see the grain? I've been thinking about doing a plywood one perhaps with a black wood stain.

Not been asked that before I dont think mate...

I'm not sure but they are light. Much lighter than my old 13x7 ultrights.

Next time I have a wheel off ill weigh it and let you know mate.

Thanks mate. there much better than the clear ones it came with.

There slightly smaller than the mk3's so the paint might be a bit differet round the light if it's old paint.

So I've had the suspension set up a couple of months back at Southam Mini's.
All was good and I thought I'd go on a trackday as I got some vouchers for one :)

All went well and I had a great day :)

Following Sunday (last Sunday) first day since trackday I went out in he. All was well until it started making a right old racket!
I lost 2nd and 3rd gear, and was not happy at idle :(

So Monday evening I started the investigation....

I'll start taking it to bits tomorrow night.
Luckily I have a spare box that I had rebuilt but never used it attached to a spare block! :)

Ive been waiting for a better shot of it with the wheels and arches... and hell that looks good!!

Go on man... u have that nice garage pull a couple all nights hopped up on redbull n haribo n get to brighton this weekend! It'll make a cool story bro lol

So after replacing the gearbox with a reconditioned one I had spare all seemed well...
Until I went to my mates house and ripped the exhaust off on his gate stop in the middle of his drive!!!!
The electric gates started to close so I panicked and reversed! Not realizing how the exhaust had come off!!

I ended up with this....

Out came the blow torch and got it sorted! Just in time for Retro Rides at santa pod...

Was a very good weekend. I only managed one run on Saturday as it was very wet!
First and only time down the strip and I managed a 17! not very good but I think I had clutch slip!

Now getting the turbo bits together that I have been collecting for about 10 years!!

1293 block (ready for paint to be stripped and re painted green)

Lightened and balanced con rods

I have 15cc dished omega's as well on standard rods, that I hope to swap over to the lightened ones.

Here's the crank I want to use.
Bit strange as it has two casting numbers on it...

As I'm not sure what numbers to believe, I'm thinking of getting it wedged, crossdrilled, cleaned/stress relived, and hardened...Any thoughts on this?
