Hi I've tried to look for a topic but was unable to find one so I made a new one , anyway I want to lower my mini to near the height of the mini in the link . I've currently got a standard set up I'm running shocks on the front and coil overs on the back and a rear beam. Not sure if I should buy hi-lows or cut the front trumpets and move the shock mounts height on the front , or cut the coil over mounts and rise them on the rear . My only concern if the wheels rubbing on the front when turning and rear inside arch , a long request but any help would be great , thanks jake

You will get it low enough with either coilovers or hi lows on the front just make sure you get the lowered shocks.
If your rears arnt the low version then they will bottom out on the shocker , then your next problem will be the rear arch will want tubbing ! Have a search you will find the answers

As per cossiericks comment, you'll need to tub your rear arches to sit that low. Also the the arches wrap over the wheels which makes it look even lower *happy*

they are by Mclean Bros:

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

I'd echo the above comments; the arches, skirts and lip will also give added impression of it being low.

One point I'd make though is that the cheaper adjustable trumpets might not allow the car to drop as low at the front without some machining. Mine are at their lowest setting and could do with a bit more adjustment.

finally, have a look through the guys build thread; he may have described exactly how he achieved the look himself

I think those are the best the McLean arches ever looked, they wrap over too much now and look shit.
