Hi All,

Just posted in the 998 section but I think I should also introduce myself. I've lurked on the boards a bit but decided that I'd start a thread of my thoughts as my turbo build gets started.

I'm located in New Hampshire, USA and have a Mini 1000, left hand drive. There aren't many of these in The States and especially not in the Northeast, most are in California. I love the car and have tons of fun driving it but I mostly like it as a project.

I work as a manufacturing engineer for a large machining company. Our major products are complex impellers and pump parts. My group focuses on titanium and aluminum impellers for the diesel turbo charger industry (thus the reason I want to turbo my Mini)

I've got a lot of experience in CNC machining and would be happy to lend a hand to those with questions and even make a few one-offs if people have some special projects. I always like making parts as it always tests and builds my skills.

Thanks all, I'm looking forward to being an active member

Not sure on the history or source with these wheels (they came with it) but they in fact one step bigger @ 13". I don't have much opinion on them, I think they might be a bit ricer/tuner for the Mini but they are pretty unique

Daft question, but it looks very much right hand drive in that pic. Did you convert it?

My mistake! I meant right hand drive!

For some reason I can never keep straight which one is "standard." That and I'm not so great with my rights and my lefts

HI,

Mini looks good. I wokr with a few people in the US, most are Austin Raleigh based but none from New Hampshire.

Im just staring on my mini project, so trying to amke all the friends I can, never know when you will need help.

If there is anything you need from this side of the pond let me know. Ive little experience with Minis so not sure how much help I can be but you never know.

Thanks
