so i was talking cams with some friends and one brought up that a 1300 cam in a 1000 would be a good upgrade... couldnt see why since valve lift remains the same? or do i see this wrong? has it been done here and what are your thoughts about it?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

What is good? Needless to say there are better cams than a standard 1275 if you are looking for performance upgrades.

A friend put a 300 degree cam in a 998 years ago. Was loud. Not driveable below 3500 revs and eventually melted the head.

BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races!

My old 998 with MG Metro cam and 202 head was awesome, shame it blew up

thats what iv got going in my estate except its a 1098 and the 202 is modded by slark

Indeed. I agree with the metro cams. This is something i often do my self. ( they are easy to find here and are cheaper than mini cams....)
