Hi,

Has anybody got a Kubota alternator on their motor? There are some Denso ones on ebay which look bloody cheap but they are for low revving engines. ( cheers for he pointers Matt)

Is this a problem? What is the effect of over revving the alternator? I'm comfortable enough to sort a new pulley but want to make sure it's useable first.

Cheers
Andy

those litle 40/45amp alternators are speced upto 14000 or more, just make sure your turning it fast enough at idle.

Joe just realised you also linked the same one.

I guess I can make a make a smaller pulley though If I need to spin it faster.

with a mini sized bottom pulley driving it you'll be fine.

I ran mine with toothed belts and a large pully on the alt and had to reduce the diameter, theses sothing about it in the thread in my sig
