Im sure you will be just fine with the coilovers, most come with offset mountings now so no need to modify the rear arches

Some rear beams require additional mounting holes drilled into the heel board. Not sure if its every beam though, or even if the hole positions are the same with every type David. |

You need to make some room at the top of the arch by knocking out the bits that support around the shock. As the coilover will rub on these even when offset. Edited by jonny f on 23rd Nov, 2013. |

Owkey.. will look into that... also read somewhere that the top of the arch needs reinforcement. .. so the shokmounts don't rip out. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

I know a lot of people who have given their cars a lot of grief on road and track with no problems. If you were rallying I would think strengthening would be a good idea I seriously doubt it! |

Ow other question... are the also easy to set in height like a hi lo? They sit at the height of the size you order. so a 11 inch coilover will lower the ride height 2 inches vs a 13 inch coilover. springs need to be selected again at the appropriate length to suit the coilover. I Cut down and welded up a rear subframe, then threw it away and made my own to save weight. Currently 3kg lighter than the cut down rear subframe with brackets etc. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:
