Hi, I have a T2 turbo from a fiester that has the three bolt flange, is it possible to use the exhaust housing from a T25 to convert it to a normal 4 bolt flange? |

Probably not. The turbine housing is also matched to the wheel trim - so that would also need to match. Maybe you can find one by travling the mellet site nd figuring out what you have vs what is on other turbos and seeing if there is something that is a match. Maybe worth an hour or so of looking, but if you get no joy, I'd move it on and find something suitable - like a GT17 On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

I have a GT15. That also has a three bolt flange. The reason I ask is that having a metro turbo manifold with a T3 flange I can get an adapter to step down to a T2 standard 4 bolt. But cant find anything for a 3 bolt. The T25 smoked when it was on my coupe 220 turbo and the compressor blades look like they've been shot blasted. So I think a rebuild of that is going to be expensive. Im not looking for large boost just 10 psi unless I get a x pin diff.

I Have made up this rough adapter out of 10mm mild steel to fit my GT1549 to a standard T3 metro manifold:

That looks good. My gt15 flange is different from yours though. Its more like the fiesta rs type fitting. Just a thought though, with how wide the t3 flange and the manifold pipes are would the flange you made not partiality block the exits from the two side pipes of the manifold when bolted up? If so a T3 spacer would create some space between the two. I think I may have to copy your idea though. |

yeah there is still a bit of throat modification required but im also trimming the ribbing in the manifold to give a centralised flow earlier to try and help it channel in to the adapter/turbo

That sounds like a plan, I know mines cracked slightly in the ribbing in the center. Where did you get hold of the metel for the flange from? |
