Hi chaps,
As I'm just staring on the K1100 turbo build I'm trying to think of ways of raising funds to allow me push on with it a bit quicker.

I have a very sweet 1293 NA motor which was built by Swiftune and then dropped in the car by Gerald Dale.

All this was done by the previous owner to enable him to sell the car which had previously been used for sprint events.

It's basically a 1990 cooper engine and box
the engine was striped, cleaned etc and rebored +20 then assembled with new Hepolite flat top pistons, crank reground and new bearings etc It had a new a Sw5 cam, new oil and water pumps etc and and then the obligatory paint in red for those extra few horses

The head is the standard cooper but was rebuilt by Swifty with new guides etc

All very well built by Swifty and has only covered about 500 miles by me running it in. Not yet been on the rollers...it's off the road now for the winter but would go on in Sumer if I still have it.

I would sell it with all ancillaries including HIF44 carb and Aldon yellow dizzy, manifold LCB.

As you would expect, it really is a sweet unit and too good to break down for components for my engine project so is it worth me selling it? And what would could I be expect it to fetch.

I don't have the receipt for engine work but do have all the emails between Swifty and Steve Hall (ex Sevens or miglia winner iirc) who I bought the car off and it does have a swiftune engine number so can have all work traced.

Get the full spec from swifty and ebay it. Get the most money that way I reckon.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

i'd expect 500-600 without reciepts for a running na 1275+
but if you can store it until mar/april and stick it on ebay youll make abit more one ebay

Ebay and the Swifty name will give you a good return imo.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!
